It feels like just yesterday when Niseko’s prefectural home of Hokkaido had just outstripped all competitors to claim Lonely Planet’s first ever ‘Best In Asia’ ...and yet, here we are again.
Punching well above its weight, powder snow’s favourite town and home of M Group Niseko and the Niseko Grand Hirafu Ski Resort, Kutchan caused a bit of a ruckus in the 2017 TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards by securing 3rd place in the Top 10 Destinations in Japan category.
Running alongside the curiously anagrammatic titans of tourism, Tokyo and Kyoto, Kutchan went on to leave such renowned destinations as Osaka and Nara in the dust.
For those lucky enough to have spent some time here, this comes as no surprise: Boasting a huge array of outdoor activities, nature parks and tours, year-round water sports, snow sports, restaurants & bars, cultural curiosities, and a whole lot of heart, M Group's hometown, Kutchan, truly is the nerve centre of this incredible corner of the world.
